Day 01| Arrival – Colombo

On arrival at the Bandaranayake International airport, you will be warmly greeted by our very own chauffeur guide .After checking out of the airport, you will be driven to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. It will take approximately forty minutes to reach there. The capital Colombo besides being a large commercial city is also one of the most popular tourist destinations.

The main attractions of the city include the National Museum of Colombo, Lotus Tower, and Gangarama Temple along with many others. Below are the sights you will explore and experience during this excursion.

First you will visit Independence Square .The Independence Square is one of the most vital and historical monuments in the city of Colombo. Independence Memorial Hall is a national monument in Sri Lanka built for commemoration of the independence of Sri Lanka from the British rule with the restoration of full governing responsibility to a Ceylonese-elected legislature on February 4, 1948.

Next you will visit National Museum .The largest museum in Sri Lanka, the National Museum of Colombo was established in January 1877 by Sir William Henry Gregory, the then British Governor of Sri Lanka. Currently maintained by the Department of National Museum of the central government, the museum is home to a lot of important collections, including the crown and throne of the Kandyan monarchs.

After lunch you will visit The Lotus tower being the second tallest structure in South Asia got its name from lotus shape. The tower is used for observation, communication, and other leisure facilities as well.

In the evening you will visit Gangaramaya Temple .One of the most popular Buddhist temples in Colombo, the Gangaramaya Temple is known for its tranquil surroundings and serene atmosphere. The temple sports exceptionally beautiful architecture and is located on the banks of the famous Beira Lake. The Most Visited temple in the city, the Gangaramaya Temple which organizes Sri Lanka’s largest and the most colourful Vesak festival annually, has a history of 120 years.

After you are done sightseeing, the night stay will be at a hotel in Colombo.

Day 02 | Colombo – Bentota – Galle

Wake up in the morning, have your healthy breakfast and check out from hotel and proceed for Galle . On the way to Galle, you will stop at the marvelous beach of Bentota.

Arguably one of the most famous seashores of Sri Lanka, the Bentota Beach has long been a favorite of travellers from around the world. The popular coast is also famed for its availability of water sports, ranging from wind-surfing to jet-skiing and even waterboarding from the waters of the Bentara River.

Turtle hatchery where you will be able to hold baby turtles is worth seeing. The Bentota Turtle Hatchery is a popular attraction in Bentota for all travellers. The pristine golden shores that draws you to our island, also provides an enticing nesting ground for several endangered turtle species from the Olive Ridley to the Leatherback turtle. The aims at conserving and protecting the eggs from predators and other dangers. Visit the turtle hatchery in Bentota to learn about these endangered graceful creatures of the sea.

But your visit will be incomplete if you do not enjoy the Madu river safari. Next you will visit Madu River. The Madu River boat ride is an enthralling ride that has captivating rich natural vegetation. Madu Ganga is the second biggest wetland in Sri Lanka. Not only the river`s flora but fauna is astounding as well. The boat traverses through thick mangrove forests, which provide protection to a large number of aquatic birds, animal and plant species. Abundantly rich in biodiversity, the river covers at least 150 acres of land and consists of 14 mangroves out of the 24 mangrove species found in Sri Lanka.

The journey at Madu estuary especially appeals to nature lovers and echoes at knowledge seekers. After this, your journey to Galle will resume. In about an hour and forty minutes, you will reach there. The coastal town of Galle is best known among tourists for vacations in Sri Lanka.

The Galle Dutch Fort happens to be one of the treasured historical monuments of Sri Lanka located on the southern coast of the country. The Galle Fort is a major tourist attraction that carries important archaeological reserves and cultural heritage. The main attractions are National Maritime Museum, Galle Fort, and Lighthouse which is in fact the perfect place to start your Fort tour.  The fort is an ancient fort in Asia, which has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is one of the most the fort displays an amazing amalgamation of age-old architecture and antiquity in the middle of astounding natural beauty. You will come across a number of lively shops, cafes, exhibition halls, lifestyle stores, and villas, which adds to the beauty of the place. Day 03 | Galle – Mirissa

Early next morning, you will depart to Mirissa. You will visit Unawatuna beach before continuing towards mirissa.

 Unawatuna is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Sri Lanka and is the most “famous” beach in the country. It is a lovely banana-shaped beach of golden sand and turquoise water, surrounded by green palm trees. The double reef over the bay creates a natural pool at Unawatuna. Due to this natural pool, Unawatuna is popular for safe swimming and bathing. You also can snorkel in the clear blue waters of the bay. It is a great place for surfing and diving. Or you can go fishing or snorkel out to sea by using the traditional catamarans dotting the beach. The beach also has arrangements of sunbeds, mats, and umbrellas which also prove to be a blessing for anybody who decides to watch the sun take a dip in the ocean whilst reveling in the sundowner.

After a short stay, continue to Mirissa. Mirissa is one of the most popular beach destinations in southern Sri Lanka, and for a good reason. The area has it all, beautiful Sri Lankan beaches, great waves for surfing, and waters teeming with marine life, from turtles to big blue whales. The waters of Mirissa are home to blue whales. The town itself is globally popular for watching whales. is the perfect amount of time to absorb the laidback culture of this sunny beach town, enjoying all the top things to do in Mirissa. Another one of the amazing places to visit in Mirissa is to climb up the Parrot Rock. This small and easily accessible rock will give you a stunning view of the Mirissa area.

Day 04 | Mirissa – Negombo

Right after breakfast, early in the morning, you will be taken for a whale-watching tour. Is where the whale watching tours start out from thanks to the many blue whales heading to these waters to feed. Scientists have noticed that the waters around Mirissa are particularly rich in plankton, so Blue Whales are attracted to the destination. It is a sunny, coastal town which is affectionately entitled ‘Little Rome’, due to its variety of attractions from medieval churches and a noisy market to some of the most scenic beaches. Traditionally Negombo is a fishing town. The town of Negombo offers various shopping centers and fish markets. An Old Dutch Fort also attracts various visitors.Negombo being a Christian city consists of many churches.St. Mary’s Church is the one that stands out. The grand and lavish church is one of the main tourist attractions of the city.One of the best beaches in Negombo is Browns Beach. You can have fun on this awesome beach with loads of exciting activities like kite surfing, sailing, windsurfing and more. If you want to take a break from the sand and surf, you can explore the many stores and little shops nearby and find little treasures to take back home as gifts and souvenirs.

Day 05 | Negombo – Departure

After complete the check-out formalities. Proceed for your transfer to the airport as your 05 days in Sri Lanka tour package comes to an end.
